What changes when Peak takes the work.

A public safety vendor handed the clearance lifecycle to Peak. Here is what changed.

Case study · Pro Managed

Thirty to sixty days became about two weeks

A public safety IT provider running 315 CJIS staff through clearances multiple times a year, before and after moving to Peak Pro Managed.

315

CJIS staff cleared, several times a year

~2 weeks

To clear a new hire, down from 30 to 60 days

The number of times each employee is fingerprinted, instead of repeatedly through the year

“Due to Peak storing and submitting fingerprints on our behalf, as well as being able to fill in the dates as needed, it has been a true game changer for our team.”

Public safety IT provider · Pro Managed customer

The problem

Every agency this provider served wanted its own fingerprint submission, on its own forms, through its own channel. That turned one employee into a recurring administrative project.

Employees were fingerprinted repeatedly through the year, ten cards at a time to cover the different agencies
Employees paid 200 to 500 dollars up front for each round of prints, then filed for reimbursement
Print cards were shipped back to the company before anything could be submitted
Clearing one employee took 30 to 60 days, and sometimes longer

What changed

On Pro Managed, the provider keeps two responsibilities: getting an employee fingerprinted once, and telling Peak which employees need clearing with which agencies. Peak holds the prints, gathers each agency’s requirements, builds the packet, submits it, and follows up.

The result

New hires now reach cleared status in about two weeks. Employees already on file are submitted as soon as prints are received, which puts most of them at a week at most.
